Anne Newman

Dr. Anne Newman oversees areas focusing on Student Advocacy in the Division of Student Affairs at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Areas of responsibility include The Offices of the Dean of Students Office and Residence Life. Anne also serves as an affiliate faculty member in the College Student Affairs Program and is the liaison between the Graduate School of Education and the Division of Student Affairs. Prior to her current role in the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Anne worked in student conduct and residence life administration. Anne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource and Finance from Adelphi University, a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from The Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Illinois State University. When not working, you will find Anne at home playing with her Great Dane Luna, watching sports, or taking her daughter traveling.
Laura Randolph
Associate Dean, Student Orientation and Transition Programs

Dr. Laura Randolph serves as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Orientation and Transition Programs overseeing the transitional needs of undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to joining Rutgers in 2018, Laura worked in Residence Life since 2004, creating intentional opportunities for first year students to create and find sense of belonging within their residential community. Laura is excited to continue this excitement to help students shape their college journey by providing them the necessary skills and tools to be successful.
In addition to working, Laura enjoys spending time with her cat, Ellie, traveling, and relaxing with family and friends.
Kerri Willson
Associate Dean, Off-Campus Living and Community Initiatives

Kerri and her team work to address the basic needs of students at Rutgers, with a particular focus on food, safety and shelter. They bridge the gap between off-campus students and the community where they reside, educating students about being a good neighbor- understanding their rights and responsibilities, work with all of the faith-based communities on campus and run the Rutger Student Food Pantry as well as other emergency assistance for students. Kerri has over 25 years of experience in Student affairs including residence life, student conduct, and student involvement. Kerri earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Sacred Heart University and a Masters of Education in Counseling from Bridgewater State College.
Jeff Broggi
Associate Dean, Student Care and Support

Jeff Broggi, MSW, Senior Associate Dean of Students, received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Kean University in 1998 and his Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2001. He worked at Rutgers with Residence Life since 1998. With Residence Life Dean Broggi has held the role of Assistant Director of Residence Life for Busch Campus and transitioned to Assistant Director for Student Support in May of 2012. Dean Broggi has taught the Resident Assistant class, the Students in Transition Seminar, and thrives in working with students in crisis.
Dean Broggi has worked in the Dean’s Office since August of 2013 and takes great pride in the connections he has made with his students. He is a compassionate student advocate who works hard to make sure all of his students have the best experience possible. He takes great satisfaction in working at RU as he is a Rutgers Legacy. He holds Rutgers very near to his heart and is committed to providing students with guidance and support needed to thrive on campus and beyond.
Dean Broggi enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, and two daughters, running, and is an avid sports fan.
Jackie Moran
Associate Dean, Compliance and Advocacy

Jackie Moran is an Associate Dean of Students and Director for Student Affairs Compliance & Title IX at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, and also serves as the Title IX Coordinator for students. In these roles, Jackie oversees the campus's response to all reports of sexual violence, stalking, and relationship violence involving Rutgers students, and regularly serves as a resource to the University community on Title IX-related issues. She also collaborates with Student Affairs and University leadership on the creation and maintenance of policies, and helps ensure compliance with the same.
Prior to joining Rutgers in September 2013, Jackie was a senior staff attorney at the New York office of the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR). While at OCR, she investigated complaints alleging discrimination and harassment based on sex, disability, race, color, national origin and age filed against elementary, secondary and post-secondary educational institutions located in New Jersey and New York. She began her career in the private legal sector, serving as board counsel and special education counsel to school districts throughout New Jersey and representing employers in various labor and employment issues. Jackie received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, and her B.A. in English and Criminal Justice from The George Washington University.
Michelle Jefferson
Associate Dean, Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution

Dr. Michelle Jefferson graduated from Douglass College-Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Women’s Studies, and a minor in Psychology. She received her Master of Education degree in Leadership from Beaver College now known as Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Michelle then earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. The focus of her research was the reduction of prejudice in college students. Dr. Jefferson con-currently serves as the Associate Chair of the Organizational Leadership Department in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers and teaches several courses in Organizational Leadership. Many students look to her as a teacher, role model, advisor, mentor, and friend. She is known around campus as “Dean J” and students can find her working out in the gym, attending sporting events, conducting programs in the residence halls or the student centers in the evenings, or just chillin in her office when she is not in the classroom.
